Khalid Dar

Founder & Chairman Virtual Hospital

Khalid Dar has been involved in philanthropic activities since 1999 and is now involved in the set up of Virtual Hospital, an organization which will drastically alter the healthcare provision for the poor by linking remote villages to doctors in city based hospitals and to specialists based in the UK.  He is also developing the Emergency Room within Virtual Hospital which will allow patients to recieve medicines once doctors have diagnosed an illness.

Shaz Sulaman

At the age of 31 ShazSulaman joined Phones4u which at the time was a 75 store loss making chain and as part of the senior team helped transform it into the a £1billion turnover 400 store chain, which still has the record of being the UK’s fastest ever growth retailer opening nearly 300 stores in than 3 years. Having gained significant senior experience working for John Caudwell, one of the UK’s most successful self-made billionaires, Shaz left Phones4u and embarked on a number of projects setting up his own businesses and working for VC’s in private equity. This gave Shaz a unique opportunity to work in Pakistan as Deputy CEO for Hero Pakistan a joint venture between Pakistan Sports Trust (Chairman Rt General Arif Hassan, CEO Fauji Foundation) and Comset Services. Shaz spearheaded the operation and set up the first ‘Lottery’ of its kind in Pakistan who’s main beneficiary was PST to develop sports in Pakistan, the launch was a significant event is 2006 as Hero Pakistani rolled out 8000 terminal across 5 major cities including Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi. The project brought in over $30million of FDI and created 200 jobs at launch stage.

Dr Tariq Idris

Based at the prestigious Harley Street, London, Dr. Tariq Idris has been at the forefront of developing new dental technology and has developed several new dental implant designs. He also developed a process called ‘Osseo-Expression’ which involves fitting implants with minimal surgery in just one visit. Amongst Dr Tariq Idris’s popular treatments is the ’1 visit smile makeover’ during which Dr Tariq re-aligns the teeth to give a natural smile. This is a recognised formula for beauty and aesthetics. Dr. Tariq Idris also launched ‘contact-less’ veneers which mean that makeovers can be achieved with virtually no drilling, resulting in far fewer complications. Dr. Tariq Idris treats many well known celebrities from the world of sport, acting and fashion: he has even treated Royalty. He is regularly consulted by the press and TV for his insight into dental matters where Dr Tariq has also been seen discussing topical issues on television shows such as This Morning and Make Me Perfect.
